Chase Waterfalls in Hiawassee & Young Harris, Georgia!

While we are blessed with incredible natural beauty which attracts visitors from all over the world, some of our most popular destinations in the Lake Chatuge area are our many waterfalls in all their majestic splendor. A favorite is High Shoals Falls in the High Shoals Falls-Chattahoochee National Forest scenic area, a succession of five waterfalls with an estimated total vertical drop of 300 feet.

Horse Trough Falls and Cupid Falls are perfect for novice hikers. You’ll also want to see Mill Creek Falls, Raven Cliff Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, and, in Vogel State Park, Trahlyta Falls. Although only a handful of waterfalls are visible from road or parking lots, most are easily reached with a short walk or hike.

Download a list of area hiking trails and waterfalls with directions for getting to each one, or view a brochure of Northeast Georgia Mountain waterfalls, gristmills and covered bridges.
